The former Penang boy who currently presides as an academic director of the Master’s program of Science in Business Analysis at Nanyang Business School made an educational visit to Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC).
Spotted in a mensa black t-shirt, the outspoken Professor Dr. Teoh Teik Toe from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, congratulated HCUC for creating reputable achievements whilst ceaselessly striving for excellence. During his visit, Teoh proposed several funds-generating initiatives to the members of HCUC such as creating a mutually benefitting engagement with private sectors who could serve as patrons for HCUC’s lab research. A tested and successful method in NTU, he relayed.
Speaking passionately of his home ground NTU, he informed that the institution admits students from many countries, especially Southeast Asia. NTU also offers dual degree courses with institutions like Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Peking University, and Tsinghua University.
Teoh was also invited to visit Han Chiang’s Chinese Heritage Center. He was delighted as there is a Chinese Heritage Center at NTU as well. His Penang roots allowed him to recognise the historical pieces found in it and adored the cultural similarities between the two islands of Singapore and Penang. He ensured that he captured several pictures to rekindle his memories in the future.
