Learning the art of making snow skin mooncake

By Teh Keh Yee

The popularity of mooncake during festivals has prompted Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC) students to organise a competition on making snow skin mooncake.

The organising committee and the judges.

But before the competition started, the organiser gave a briefing to the participants on how to make snow skin mooncake.

The event turned out to be a wonderful and fun afternoon in The Greatest Snowskin Mooncake Competition which was organised by seven students of HCUC as an assignment of Education Ministry’s MPU3422 Self-Development Course.

A total of 25 participants took part in the three-hour competition, which was also open to the public and other students from HCUC.

Event organising chairman Yap Sian Yang, who is a Year 2 Semester 1 student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies, said the event was to test the participants’ creativity and cohesiveness.

“Through this competition, the participants also learnt to work as a team.”

Yap stressed that this assignment project also helped participants to relieve stress and improve relationships.

“Although it is low-budget, the event is very meaningful.”
